Masonry Block Units

Our block manufacturing plant has been operating for over 60 years and manufactures both concrete and lightweight masonry units. We manufacture over 45 different sizes of block and also carry block lintels up to 12 feet in length. Also stocked are architectural "split face" masonry units. Our lightweight block are manufactured from a blend of "Sta-Light" lightweight material and screenings. We are one of the few remaining manufacturing plants that continues to make concrete block.

Our lightweight block weigh roughly 35 percent less than their concrete counterpart while still providing the same strength. All commercial projects use lightweight masonry units and it is the preferred block among area contractors. The plant is classified as a medium sized facility by the Carolina's Concrete Masonry Association based upon annual output. Because of ever increasing growth in the area, the plant has experienced major upgrades during the last decade. Today, the plant manufactures roughly 10,000 8" masonry units per day or the same quantity based upon their equivalents. All block are delivered by our fleet of block trucks that travel throughout the region and into many parts of southern VA. Block are also available for pick-up at our location on North Garnett Street.
